Rabbit Runaway, help my rabbit runs into the backyard and escapes through a hole in the fence?

Sometimes my bunny runs into the backyard, its enclosed but theres one whole he keeps escaping, and its a gate so we have to open it so if we plug it we have to keep moving the object. Is it possible to teach him not to do that. And when that does happen, its hard to catch him too, helpRabbit Runaway, help my rabbit runs into the backyard and escapes through a hole in the fence?
You can cover the hole without having to move it. Get/cut a piece of wood large enough to cover the hole. On the side of the gate that is on the opposite side of where it opens to (if the gate opens into your yard, you will put it on the outside of the gate). Attach the wood with regular screws if it is a wooden gate or bolts and washers if it is a metal/chain link fence. This way when you open the fence the wood can move with the gate without hitting the fence. This is if the hole is where the gate is attached to the fence. If the hole is where the gate latches and unlatches, you will put the wood on the actual fence, but still on the opposite side of where the gate opens into.Rabbit Runaway, help my rabbit runs into the backyard and escapes through a hole in the fence?
Buy a havahart trap. You put food the animal likes on a lever and when the rabbit tries to get the food, it will hit the lever and that will close the doors. I do it to catch squirrels for fun. But it works these traps are only like 20 or 30 bucks:)
put a rubber strip along the bottom of the gate to move with the gate or also you can put a round pen for the rabbit to excesise in that they put dogs outside in to play
