What plants/shrubs/trees can I plant which are rabbit proof?

I wish to advise someone who is trying to cultivate a garden over-run with rabbits. They want to increase their garden stock but do not want to have everything destroyed by the very many rabbits that have unlimited acess to the large garden area. What plants/shrubs/trees can I plant which are rabbit proof?
Rabbits eat anything, see on this link for plants that are said to be rabbit proof:

I would think either very tall trees or very prickly ones like firethorn and holly.

Alternatively, buy a greyhound and leave it in the garden in the late evenings!

Good luck with your friends garden :)
If you use a product called Blood Meal, you can get it at any garden center, it will detere rabbits, deer %26amp; the like.
Rabbits will eat anything/ if it cant be eaten they just chew it off. My advice would be to fence the garden with wire %26amp; dependant on the size of garden i would install ';drop boxes'; along the fence(for an acre 2 should suffice),these go in on the fence line allowing rabbits access, you leave them for two weeks to get good traffic then set them to drop %26amp; collect rabbits, twist their necks %26amp; dispose of them. You can try shooting them but i have found this ineffective as they learn v quickly who you are %26amp; what happens when you are there!!

Gassing is an effective method but needs to be done regularly.

Fencing seems to be the most effective control but remember to do gates etc as they run the whole length looking for a way in.
garlic plants :)
grow cactus? or surround garden with Chick wire?
I think you have to plant items that have a strong scent such as rosemary, lemon basil, marigolds, etc.
