Why is my rabbit pulling her fur out shes not making a nest with it?

I let her out of the cage and hop around my room I combined the food from the pet store with some lettuce, she stopped for a while but then she started again and its worse now. She thumps her feet and pulls her fur from her chest. And I don't see any nesting. Someone tell me whats wrong please!!!Why is my rabbit pulling her fur out shes not making a nest with it?
Some rabbits will mutilate themselves because of stress, boredom, or a psychological problem. If she's not spayed it COULD be a false pregnancy causing the urge to pull fur and she just doesn't know how to make a nest. I would first of all spay her. Even if that isn't the cause of the behavior, female rabbits have a reproductive cancer rate near 85% and not spaying her will shorten her lifespan by about half, on average. If the behavior continues after spaying, you'll need to look for a way to alleviate whatever is causing the urge to pull fur. That may mean more toys, more time interacting with you, or a new bunny friend for her. Good Luck. Why is my rabbit pulling her fur out shes not making a nest with it?
its that time of year, the weather is changing, and so is your rabbits coat! it sounds like your rabbit is just pulling out her dead fur in order to let new lighter fur grow in. in the other hand she might have a false pregnancy if She has not been exposed to a buck. hope this helps.
has she been nere a male if she has then she could be possibly pregnant or she is having a fantam which is basicaly a false pregnancy dont worry ok she might be stressed you shouldnt give rabbits lettuce because of the chemicals that are in it cabbage is fine and carrots also apple is good good luck
it could be that she thinks she is pregnant, and shes really not. it could also be that she is psychologically unstable... there are some rabbits that have a bad habit of pulling hair and chewing their toes off. i had a few. take it to the vet to get it verified.
May be pregnant, or pretending to be pregnant (they do do this). Could just be stressed out. If she continues, take her to the vet.
