What should i put as bedding for my bunny rabbit?

Hi, i have just recently got a netherland dwarf rabbit and i dont know what to put as bedding for it and also what should i put for the area of its cage where i can see it so please could you help me? many thanks! What should i put as bedding for my bunny rabbit?
I would recommend using wood shaving in all the hutch not sawdust as that can contain alot of fine sawdust dust which can irrate there eyes. And then in the bed area use woodsahving with hay on top. I have always found hay better than straw as it is not so rough. The cheapest way usually to buy woodshaving in horse bales avalible from most pet shops. It works out alot cheaper. What should i put as bedding for my bunny rabbit?
I have a bunny, and I use hay bedding. Its cheap, comfy and natural. If your bunny eats it, its only good for him. Not like woodshavings. Anyway, i suggest you put the bedding in the far end of the cage away from the door. So you can put his foodstuffs near the door. Thats how i do it. Try not to put too mutch of the hay bedding in the cage. For a house rabbit, 4-5 handfulls of the bedding is more than enough.
Hi there.

I suggest you use wood shavings for the area of it's cage where you can see it. Then use a small layer of wood shavings and then hay for the bedding end. Please do not use saw dust as this will irritate your rabbit's eyes and cause infection!

Hope I helped you out - good luck with your bunny!
You may have wanted to research this before you got it!!!!!!!! Use corn cob bedding-walmart sells it..Layer it with a soft care fresh bedding. The corn cob is safe and best odor absorber there is. If you have a cage that the urine and poo goes into a pan under the cage-get your rabbit a corner litter box. Put it in the corner it seems to be going in. The rabbit still needs to eat it's cecotropes. People think they are eating their own poop, but it's totally different-just looks the same. It's important for them to be able to eat it for extra nutrients. You don't need the soft bedding for the top layer of corn cob IF it goes beneath the cage in a pan..Just make sure you use it if it has to walk through it and in it's litter box.
If your cage has a plastic bottom, no bedding at all is best. It is the most comfortable.

If it is hot a piece cerrmaic tile is great to lie on and feels cool.

I have tried every bedding there is and that is what my 4 bunnys all prefered.

4 out 4 bunnies cna not be wrong.
For your rabbit's bedroom you could have hay and straw as they make a good bedding but are also edible for your bunny, and for the rest of the hutch you could use sawdust/wood shavings. If you live in the UK Pets at Home is a brilliant pet shop. Hope I help = D
hay dried long Grass or shredded newspaper, and sanitised sawdust from the pet shop for its run and feeding area.ordinary sawdust from the lumber yard or joiners shop can contain chemicals and wood preservatives which can be very dangerious for animals /pets
My recommendation would be Carefresh or something along those lines. Its a bit pricey but it lasts longer, is completely safe, and very absorbent. You'll love having your bun.
try wood shavings and hay good luck!!
