Where does a rabbit love to be pet?

I want a rabbit for my home so I am working out how to keep my roommates dog out of the basement. So I want to know from those who have rabbits, where do they love to be pet? And does it matter if it is a lopped eared or not?Where does a rabbit love to be pet?
Hello, It tends to depend on the rabbit. I also depends on how comfortable they are with their owner. Before a rabbit has got used to their owner, I have found that they usually prefer to be stroked gently on the bridge of their nose being careful not to touch their actual nose because this is very sensitive. This is because in general, rabbits do not like to be picked up, they much prefer to just sit beside you and be stroked. So when a rabbit is not completely comfortable with their owner they may run away if you try to stroke them on their back because they are worried that you are going to pick them up. You should let the rabbit come to you rather than keep picking them up because this will lead to the rabbit trusting you. When you first get your rabbit, you will probably find the rabbit doesn't want to come near you but be patient - resist the urge to keep picking them up. Instead try bribing them with a bit of carrot and stick to only stroking them gently on the nose bridge. Or you can also try lying down on the floor as if pretending to be asleep - this will make you less threatening and your rabbit curious. They will usually come and give you a nudge and run away again, but iff you don't make any sudden movements then this will show them that it is safe to come to you. Once your rabbit trusts you, they will usually love their back stroked. I have always had lop-eared rabbits but I don't think their is really a difference. Hope all goes well.Where does a rabbit love to be pet?
My little lop was very nervous when we first got her...she was a rescue bunny, and she had a tendency to bite. She did love getting pet on the top of her head, though...between her ears. If your new bunny is nervous or bites, make sure she knows you're about to pet her by putting your hand over her head for a few seconds before you touch her. Also, you can make a little noise with your fingers...like snapping, but without the snapping sound...just rub your fingers together. That way, she knows you're there.

Now that our bun loves and trusts us, she loves getting pet almost anywhere. Her favorite place is still the top of her head and her ears, but she also loves her cheeks!

If this is your first bun, I recommend you check out http://www.rabbit.org for a lot of great info about taking care of rabbits.

Good luck!
Lopped eared or not they love being pet. My rabbits love to be rubbed on their pats and top of head :)
my rabbit isn't lop eared and likes to be stroked in the soft patch just behind his ears and on his cheeks, he actually leans into your finger when you're doing his cheek!
My rabbit is fond of being pet in between her eyes down to her nose. She really relaxes this way.
top of the head and cheeks
if ur low effort dont get a lop ear----ours loves on the cheek-
