What nesting material should I give to my rabbit to make a nest out of?

I have put brown carefresh, carefresh ultra, Oxbow Brome hay, Timothy hay, and newspaper. (so far)What nesting material should I give to my rabbit to make a nest out of?

Your rabbit will also pick out the fur on her belly.

The best nest building material is plain old straw. They do not like to eat straw and will use it to put in the nestbox to make a nest. They will also pull fur to line the nest and to cover the kits after she kindles.


Make sure you have a nestbox for her otherwise the kits could freeze(even in warm weather they can get chilled) or fall out of the cage and die from trauma.
just hay the other stuff is not needed and a wast of time.
