How often should I trim my mini lop rabbit's nails?

I am relatively new to rabbit ownership...how often should I trim my mini lop rabbit's nails? How do I know if the nails are too long? How often should I trim my mini lop rabbit's nails?
if you pick your bunny up and his nails scratch you, then they may need to be cut, i don't actually cut my rabbits nails, i simply put them in a pen on concrete, the concrete acts as a file and wears the nails down naturally, no stress for me or my rabbit. How often should I trim my mini lop rabbit's nails?
Are his nails light colored? If so, trim anytime there's enough nail grown out under the quick to nip it off. If they're dark colored, you can do the same thing but will need to hold it up to the light to see the quick. The frequency will vary depending on your bunny, mine need it usually about once a month.
How often? It depends on the rabbit. Can very from weekly to once every few months.

How do you know? If the nails are scratching you, i mean; when you cut the nails you cut them all the way to when the start to join the skin, like you cut your own nails. So if its longer than that, you need to cut! But if its not a problem to you or the rabbit, then no need. THough, I'm pretty sure every rabbit owner cuts their rabbits nails.
