What is the best way to clean my rabbit's ears?

I try to clean his ears when he lies down with his relaxing position. But everytime when I drop cleaning solution into his ears,he gets mad and shakes the solution out of his ears right away and sctrach his ears like crazy. What should I do?What is the best way to clean my rabbit's ears?
Put the solution on a cotton ball or a wadded up piece of toilet paper (Never use a qtip because the slightest movement from the rabbit could force the qtip into the ear and cause major damage) and gently rub the inside of the ear, you may have to get someone to hold him until he becomes more used to you doing this. Also if you play with his ears all the time, not just when you are cleaning them, he will get more used to them being played with and it will help keep him a little calmer during the process. If you still dont feel comfortable doing it you can always take him to the vet or a groomer and have them do it for you. Good Luck! What is the best way to clean my rabbit's ears?
Put alcohol on a Qtip or flat cotton pad and wipe them clean. The alcohol will cut thru any gunk but evaporates, so there's nothing to run down his ears. This is what my vet does to my dogs.

If he scratches his ears when you haven't put drops in, he could have ear mites, and would need special drops to kill them. THEN a good cleaning to get the dead mites out.
with a black %26amp; decker power drill LOL
Wrap him lightly in a towel. This works with any small animal or bird. You have to have a fir grip, but do not hold to tight or you may suffocate him. Sometimes you need another person to help. If you cover his eyes, he will be much more relaxed.
Maybe rub in salt water using your fingers then a quick dry with a soft towel and bingo , your done , bunny has shiny clean lugs :O)
it wont be fun but have someone else hold him, fold back his ear and drop it in, clean it (gently and not too deep) with a Q-tip. he wont be happy (kids arent happy when they have to take a bath either) but youre his caretaker and he needs his ears cleaned.
